Learn to read a pattern from laying it out, tacking and cutting it out. Following the instructions to sewing it together. Insert zippers and buttons etc.
Here we learn to make soft toys for kids and babies, to sell or to treasure. Learn to cut out and pattern match, stuff and fit together the pieces. Choose fabrics and the best eyes and noses etc for what you are making and your target audience. Lots of fun with patterns.
Here we teach you how to sew for your home, whether its making curtains, blinds or cushions, ironing board covers or peg bags, all things that make home life more comfortable, enjoyable and colourful.
Quilting doesn't have to be difficult, it can be simple and fun, from jelly roll quilts to appliqued throws, you can do it with ease. Some of the old techniques are still used and are most rewarding.
This technique does require some practice and patience but is so much fun and the possibilities are endless.... Once you master the technique, you will be hooked.
Lets not forget the traditional hand sewing methods available to us from the traditional Candlewicking to Satin Ribbon Embroidery and the old fashioned hand stitching, and the decorative Japanese stitching that's all the new fashion now called Sashiko.
